CILE workshop

September 2019

Over 30 participants, including students, academic and professional services staff from Cranfield and Aston Universities recently met at Aston University for the second CILE workshop. The focus of the day’s activities was to develop several student personas who would be potential undergraduates of the future in subject areas such as cyber, entrepreneurship, digital, smart cities and robotics. Concentrating on students with diverse backgrounds, different expectations and unique learning requirements, working groups developed individual student personas along with requirements for their:

  • learning and assessment experience
  • learning environment
  • student support, health and well-being
  • student experience – community and social activities.

The findings which emerged from this workshop are feeding into current research activities within CILE and will inform decisions relating to the design of courses and learning environment of MK:U, as well as how MK:U ensures that it provides an inclusive and supportive university experience for its future students.
